Well, maybe that was me and not you, but all the same, it's your morning of freedom and you want a fresh cup of coffee with a hot breakfast. However, it can't take too long because, you know, you have mom stuff to do!

No worries, let me give you a little New Orleans flavor and flair with my 5 Minute Beignets recipe!Your kids are gone for a day and you spent your night off, Netflixing while folding laundry. However, it can't take too long because, you know, you have mom stuff to do!  No worries, let me give you a little New Orleans flavor and flair with my 5 Minute Beignets recipe!You only need 3 ingredients to make these and yes, it will only take you 5 minutes. Grab a can of those crescent rolls out of the fridge and pop them open! No need to alter them in any way.

Heat about 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, in a medium-sized skillet, to a low medium and drop a triangle of dough in. Let the other side sizzle for about 2 minutes more, take it out of the oil and place it on a paper towel. Continue with the remaining triangles. (Neat trick: You don't have to use all of the dough at once, you can save half in a ziploc baggie for another time or recipe.)

Here comes the fun part, covering that beautiful fried dough with some soft and silky powdered sugar! Yup and go CRAZY, after all, that's what gives it the NOLA flair!
