Thank you so much for sharing! Our experience with Thyroid Cancer is so similar. Mine is now returning in my Lymph nodes.. I am up for a biopsy in a couple weeks. The lab numbers already showed something not right. I wear my scar as part of who I am. It is a daily battle and we are Warriors!

Good luck, Sylvia! You’ve got this!

  2. Thank you for sharing. This information is Needed. Although we are all different; I am sure we’ve experienced one or more of the systems.

Thank you for sharing. This is so helpful.

  4. I am 55 years old and have been having symptoms of hyperthyroidism all summer, yet all my blood work comes back normal. Even the endocrinologist sent antibodies to be tested and came back normal. I then had an ultrasound which showed a suspicious nodule. Then a biopsy that showed focal Papillary configurations which they said was highly likely Papillary Carcinoma. I am scheduled to have the left side of my thyroid removed where the nodule is at. However the ENT does not believe my hyperthyroidism symptoms are from this. I am praying this surgery does make the symptoms go away.

  5. I’m currently waiting for results of my thyroid biopsy. They only found nodules during a CT scan because of migraines I was having. I basically had to beg my primary to do the thyroid blood work but they keep saying it’s “normal.” Hopefully I’ll find someone who will listen soon or maybe the results of the biopsy will come back as something to get the ball moving. I’m having so many of the symptoms but they want to treat the symptoms individually. It’s so frustrating. Thank you for sharing your story!

My thyroid bloodwork was always normal, too! It is so frustrating to have doctors who don’t listen or don’t want to work together. Keep pushing until you get the help you need! <3

Thank you for sharing your experience. I wish I had read this a few months ago when my then 18 year old daughter was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid cancer. I spent so much time researching, worrying, crying, but most importantly, supporting her and getting her the treatment she needed. She is almost four months post op now and doing well. She struggles with taking her thyroid medicine at the same time each day, but she is a college student who has a schedule that charges a lot.
She had an appointment with a nurse practitioner for anxiety, and that’s who found the lumps on her neck and sent her on this wild journey. I am forever grateful to that woman for doing a thorough exam because I don’t know when this would have been found otherwise.

I’m so glad your daughter’s NP was proactive! Thank you for being there to support her, too.
